Aloo

A potato with a mission — that's the premise of Aloo, a 2D platformer built around one determined spud navigating eight increasingly brutal stages. Energy drink bottles are scattered across each level, and grabbing them all is the goal, though the path there is lined with spinning saws, spike beds, giant blades, and bouncy ball enemies that patrol with surprising persistence.

What makes the game click is how the level design escalates without ever feeling arbitrary. Hazards are placed to punish careless movement, rewarding players who slow down and read the environment before committing to a jump. The cartoon aesthetic softens the edges of what is, underneath, a fairly demanding obstacle course.

Aloo is the kind of game that's easy to underestimate at first glance and genuinely difficult to put down once the later stages start testing your patience. Short enough for a quick session, tricky enough to demand multiple attempts.
