Angry Mario World

Slingshots and mushroom kingdoms don't usually mix — but Angry Mario World makes a surprisingly compelling case for the combination. Mario gets launched through the air with the kind of physics-driven arc that demands careful aiming, and the familiar enemies waiting on the other side don't go down without a fight.

Structures collapse, Goombas scatter, and occasionally a single well-aimed shot triggers a satisfying chain reaction that clears half the stage. The levels are built with enough variety to keep the challenge fresh, rewarding patience and experimentation over brute repetition.

What makes it stick is the tension between how simple the premise feels and how genuinely tricky some arrangements get. Angles matter, timing matters, and sometimes the obvious shot is exactly the wrong one. A mashup concept that could have felt lazy instead delivers something with real mechanical bite.
