Blob Opera Real brings together the recorded voices of professional opera singers and turns them into something surprisingly playful. Four animated blobs — each carrying a distinct vocal range — respond to mouse movements, letting you shape pitch and vowel sounds in real time. The result is live harmony, built entirely by you.

There are no rules or scores here. Dragging a blob upward raises its pitch, shifting it horizontally changes the vowel, and moving multiple blobs together creates layered chords that actually sound like opera. The underlying model was trained on real singers, so even accidental combinations tend to land somewhere musically coherent.

It works well as a curiosity for people with no musical background whatsoever, but musicians will find genuine depth in exploring how the voices interact. Something about hearing your own chaotic input resolve into a recognizable operatic phrase makes the whole thing oddly compelling to sit with for longer than expected.
