Three modes shape how you engage. Solo players square off against an AI opponent that hits back with real pressure. Bring a second player and the whole dynamic shifts — reading a human opponent is a different challenge entirely. There's also a Bot vs Bot option, where you simply watch two automated fighters slug it out, which sounds passive but lands as oddly gripping.
