Woodworking without the sawdust. Carpenter lets you work through the full process of building wooden objects — cutting shapes, joining pieces with screws, then finishing everything off with paint. The whole thing moves at a relaxed pace, which suits the subject matter well.

Designs range from animal figures to vehicles, and each one breaks down into a handful of parts you cut from a wooden board. Getting the cuts right takes some attention, and screwing the pieces together feels satisfyingly hands-on even in browser form.

The painting stage is where things open up. Once your object is assembled, you choose the colors and apply them yourself, so two players building the same car or bird can end up with completely different results. It's a calm, creative little game that doesn't demand much but gives you something to show for your time.
