Color Lines Deluxe takes a classic puzzle concept and gives it just enough polish to feel genuinely absorbing. The board fills with colored balls, and your job is to line up five or more of the same shade before space runs out — straightforward in theory, relentlessly demanding in practice.

What makes it grip you is the tension between what you plan and what the game throws at you. Every move you make triggers three new balls to appear somewhere on the grid. That somewhere matters enormously. Miscalculate, and a nearly complete line gets blocked. Read the board well, and chains start clearing almost rhythmically.

The scoring rewards longer lines and consecutive clears, so there's always a reason to hold off on an easy move and hunt for something better. That hesitation — weighing a safe clear against a riskier, higher-value play — is where most of the game actually lives. Quiet, methodical, and surprisingly hard to put down.
