Connect and Merge
Drawing lines across a grid sounds deceptively calm until Connect and Merge starts layering its logic on you. Identical numbers sit scattered across the board, and linking them into chains causes them to combine — doubling, growing, cascading into values you didn't expect when you started your first drag.
The tension comes from reading the board before committing. A short connection might score points now but block a longer chain hiding two moves ahead. Spotting those opportunities and threading a line through them produces a distinctly satisfying kind of clarity.
Numbers merging into multiples of two means the board is always shifting in character, rewarding patience over speed. Whether a session lasts three minutes or thirty, the mental pull of one more connection tends to make that distinction meaningless.
