Numbers blur, cards pile up, and the clock doesn't care how confident you felt a moment ago. Count The Cards is a deceptively tricky little game built around one very simple demand: look at the cards, get the number right, do it fast. That's it. And yet somehow it gets under your skin.

The satisfaction of nailing an accurate count just before the timer hits zero is genuinely hard to explain. There's a particular mental sharpness required — not quite memory, not quite reflexes, something in between. Your eyes have to move efficiently, your brain has to stay calm, and those two things don't always cooperate.

It works well as a quick mental exercise or something to return to repeatedly, trying to beat a previous score. Short sessions, surprisingly absorbing. The kind of game that's over before you've decided whether you're enjoying it — and then you're already starting again.
