Cursed Treasure

Defending treasure from self-righteous heroes is the entire premise of Cursed Treasure, and it works surprisingly well. You play as an Overlord whose gem collection keeps attracting knights, ninjas, and paladins convinced they're doing the world a favor by stealing from you.

Orcs, undead, and demons form the backbone of your defenses, each tower type bringing distinct strengths against different enemy classes. Positioning matters enormously — a poorly placed demon tower leaves flanks exposed, while smart placement creates overlapping kill zones that shred invaders before they reach your stash. Enemies hit hard late in a run, and watching a nearly dead hero limp off with a gem despite your best efforts is genuinely frustrating in the right way.

Skill upgrades deepen the strategy considerably, letting you specialize your approach rather than just stacking the same units everywhere. The dark atmosphere and sharp enemy design give the whole thing a personality that most tower defense games lack.
