Dead Frequency
One tower. That's all that stands between you and annihilation in Dead Frequency. Enemies pour in from every direction, relentless and growing in number, and there's no fallback position — no second line of defense, no safety net.
The tension comes not from complexity but from commitment. Every upgrade you choose locks you into a playstyle. Do you push for raw damage output, or build toward survivability? The wrong read on an incoming wave can unravel everything you've held together.
There's something quietly brutal about watching the horde close in while you scramble to make your single asset count. The game doesn't overwhelm you with options — it strips everything down and asks whether one well-managed tower is enough. Usually, just barely, it is. Until it isn't.
