GMTK-Game-Jam

Somewhere between absurdist comedy and genuine puzzle design, GMTK-Game-Jam's "Horse Divorce" lands in territory that's hard to categorize and surprisingly hard to put down. The premise is exactly what it sounds like — a horse, split in two, navigating a world that doesn't particularly accommodate divided equines.

Controlling both halves simultaneously is the core tension here. Neither side moves quite how you'd want, and the friction between them is the point. It's less about solving puzzles and more about negotiating with yourself — which, honestly, feels thematically appropriate given the title.

The whole thing runs short, but it earns its runtime. Wit shows up in the level design, not just the concept, and the tonal balance between melancholy and silliness holds together better than it has any right to.
