Janissary Battles

Eight weapons. Eight arenas. One winner. Janissary Battles packs a whole collection of retro pixel duels into a single competitive package, letting two players go head-to-head across challenges built around arrows, axes, swords, maces, spears, catapults, and more. The pixelated presentation carries a distinct old-school charm, but the rivalry it creates feels very real.

Each weapon mode plays differently — timing a catapult shot feels nothing like landing a precise arrow or swinging a mace at close range. Reaching a score of 5 before your opponent does is the constant objective, but the path there shifts depending on which arena you're fighting through. The scoreboard sits visible throughout, which does a surprisingly effective job of keeping the tension alive between rounds.

Designed for two players sharing the same screen, this one works best when there's genuine competition in the room. Bragging rights included.
