Jezaa

Eight levels stand between you and whatever awaits at the end of Jezaa, and none of them are particularly forgiving. Monsters patrol the ground, flying enemies lob projectiles from above, lava waits at the bottom of poorly timed jumps, and spinning saws have an irritating habit of appearing exactly where you want to land.

The goal is straightforward enough — collect purple cubes, survive the chaos, reach the yellow flag. But the anime art style gives the whole thing a strange charm that makes repeated attempts feel less like frustration and more like stubbornness in the best sense. Something about the visuals keeps the mood lighter than the difficulty probably deserves.

Reflexes matter here more than any clever strategy. Staying alive long enough to actually finish a stage requires reading enemy patterns quickly and committing to movements without hesitation. Miss a jump near the lava and you'll know it immediately.
