Maze Tower drops two explorers into a sprawling vertical labyrinth where precious stones are scattered across increasingly hostile floors, guarded by monsters whose behavior shifts depending on how deep you've gone.

What makes the game worth returning to is the flexibility in how you tackle it. Solo runs demand careful observation and patience — one wrong corridor choice can send you straight into a trap cluster. Bring a second player into cooperative mode, though, and the dynamic shifts entirely; suddenly communication matters as much as reflexes. There's also a competitive racing variant where both players tear through the same maze simultaneously, trying to reach the treasure before the other does.
