Mergis is a number-merging puzzle game built around one deceptively tricky mechanic — dropping matching characters into lanes so they line up and combine vertically. Getting two identical numbers to meet feels straightforward at first, but the board fills up faster than expected, and suddenly every placement decision carries real weight.

Power-ups scatter through the game to give you breathing room when stacks grow unmanageable. Knowing when to burn them versus holding back is genuinely half the puzzle. A poorly timed save can leave you worse off two moves later.

What makes it stick is the tension between wanting a big merge chain and the constant risk of locking yourself into a corner.
