Pitballs

Shoot, collect, and upgrade — that's the loop at the heart of Pitballs. Balls are fired into a pit, where they accumulate and wait to be deployed when a boss appears. The rhythm of gathering resources through regular shots and then spending them on a boss encounter gives the game a satisfying back-and-forth structure.

Upgrades play a real role here. Between encounters, strengthening your ball collection makes a noticeable difference when tougher bosses show up. The progression feels earned rather than automatic, which gives each upgrade a bit of weight.

Boss battles are where the tension spikes. Watching your stockpile drain as you fight through a tough opponent, hoping you've gathered enough, creates genuine pressure. It's a casual format, but the resource management underneath adds more depth than the setup might suggest at first glance.
