Nitro boosts are scattered throughout, particularly useful on the longer tunnel ramps where momentum alone won't carry you through. Lose all five lives on a stage and you're starting over, so reckless riding has real consequences. Completing a level unlocks a new motorcycle, each with its own handling characteristics worth getting used to.

A two-player mode lets you race head-to-head against someone on the same device, which shifts the whole dynamic. Beating the course suddenly matters less than beating your opponent, and that changes how people ride. It's a small addition that gives the game noticeably more replay value.
