Raft Wars 1

A kid finds buried treasure on the beach — and suddenly everyone wants a piece of it. Raft Wars 1 puts you in that kid's shoes, defending your loot from a relentless stream of pirates, Vikings, and other opportunists who show up armed and determined. The setup is absurd in the best way, and it pulls you in immediately.

Combat plays out across water on floating rafts, with each side lobbing tennis balls and grenades in turn-based exchanges. Angling your shots correctly matters — lob too flat and you'll miss, too steep and you'll overshoot. Between rounds, coins earned from victories let you upgrade weapons and recruit help, which becomes genuinely necessary as enemies hit harder and take more punishment.

What makes it stick is the pacing. Rounds are short, the difficulty climbs steadily without feeling cheap, and there's just enough humor in the character designs and scenarios to keep the whole thing from taking itself too seriously. A surprisingly well-crafted little game.
