Survival in SantaCraft means juggling two things at once — holding off waves of zombies while scrambling to gather enough resources to build an escape portal. The setting pulls from a blocky, Minecraft-like world, but the tone here leans much darker. Undead enemies push in from all directions, and they don't slow down.

Combat is third-person, with a small selection of weapons that each feel distinct enough to matter. A shotgun clears close-range crowds. A pistol conserves ammo when targets are spread out. Knowing when to switch is half the battle, especially as the zombie count climbs and the pressure builds.

The portal mechanic gives the game a purpose beyond just surviving. Scattered materials need collecting, which forces movement through the map rather than camping in one spot. That tension between exploration and self-preservation is where most of the real challenge lives. Short sessions can still get surprisingly intense.
