Sweet Beasts

Somewhere between a candy shop and a creature zoo, Sweet Beasts carves out its own strange, sticky corner of the match-3 genre. The monsters here aren't threatening — they're just deeply, unreasonably hungry, and somehow that makes them impossible to resist.

Matching candies sets off chain reactions that feel genuinely rewarding, especially when a well-timed combo clears half the board and sends your beast into a frenzy of delighted chomping. The worlds you move through — gummy forests, marshmallow peaks, lagoons made of something definitely not water — have a looseness to them, like a fever dream drawn by someone who spent too long in a candy aisle.

Different creatures bring different abilities into the mix, and figuring out how to use them against the stickier puzzle layouts is where most of the real satisfaction lives. Not every match-3 game gives you a reason to care about the characters. This one kind of does.
