Combat builds in intensity as you push further into the building, and the variety of enemies keeps encounters from feeling routine. There's a real scrappiness to the fighting that suits the character perfectly.

Power-ups scattered across the environment give you just enough edge to keep moving forward without making the fights feel handed to you. The final confrontation with the boss demands everything you've learned along the way. It's a game about an ordinary person pushed too far — and that premise carries more weight than expected.
