Bugs. Lots of them. Tower Defence 1 drops you straight into the chaos of managing a crumbling defensive line against wave after wave of insects crawling toward your base. The pressure builds faster than you'd expect, and a poorly placed tower early on can haunt you several waves later.

Four tower types give you enough variety to experiment with genuinely different setups — some players lean hard into slowing enemies down, others go full damage output and hope for the best. Neither approach feels wrong, which is part of what makes the game worth replaying.

There's something grimly satisfying about watching a carefully planned killzone shred through a dense swarm. Then the next wave arrives, bigger and nastier, and suddenly your perfect strategy has a hole in it.
