Draw the path, dodge the danger — that's the core tension driving Western Escape. Playing as a cowboy trying to break free from a hostile environment, you sketch routes across the screen while keeping clear of spikes, laser doors, and patrolling guards who don't take kindly to uninvited guests.

What makes the game genuinely tricky is how quickly a clean-looking path can turn fatal. Guards sweep their zones with mechanical precision, and a line drawn even slightly wrong puts your cowboy directly in harm's way. Slowing your movement down is an option when the gaps feel impossibly tight — patience sometimes matters more than clever routing.

Ten levels build on each other, stacking new hazards before the old ones feel comfortable. The satisfaction comes not from speed but from finally threading a route through a layout that seemed impossible moments before.
