Zombie Mission 11 takes the long-running co-op series somewhere unexpected — underwater. The undead have invaded the ocean floor, and mutated sea creatures now patrol sunken corridors alongside the usual zombie hordes. It's a strange setting that genuinely changes how the game feels.

Two-player cooperation remains central here. Each character brings different weapons and abilities to the table, and the underwater environments introduce new hazards that demand coordination rather than just firepower. Some sections require one player to hold back enemies while the other solves a puzzle or activates a mechanism.

Hidden collectibles, resource pickups, and boss encounters are scattered throughout the stages, rewarding thorough exploration over rushing ahead. The bosses in particular are more involved than earlier entries in the series, requiring a bit more attention to patterns and timing.

Whether playing solo or with a friend, the underwater theme gives this installment a distinct identity within the series. Fans of the previous games will feel at home, while the new environment keeps things from feeling repetitive.
