Chain reaction
Few browser games nail the satisfaction of a perfectly timed trigger quite like Chain Reaction. Molecules bounce around a darkened space, their paths almost predictable — almost. One click sends out a burst of energy, and if the timing is right, nearby molecules get swept into the reaction, each one spawning its own burst, spreading outward in a cascade that feels genuinely surprising every time.
The real tension comes from restraint. Clicking too early wastes potential; waiting too long means the molecules drift apart. Reading their movement, finding that dense cluster about to converge — that moment of decision is what the game is built around.
Visually minimal but oddly hypnotic, the glowing particles against the dark background give the whole thing a quiet, almost meditative quality between explosions. Scores climb based on how many molecules a single chain captures, which pushes toward bolder, riskier placements rather than safe, predictable ones.
