A dog alone in a forest that feels wrong — that's where Doggy Quest: The Dark Forest begins. The shadows move, creatures circle just beyond sight, and something about this place makes it clear that escaping won't be straightforward.

What makes survival possible is the ability to slip between two overlapping worlds. The forest you see isn't the only one that exists. Shifting into the alternate dimension changes which threats are real and which can be passed through — timing that shift badly, though, and you've traded one danger for something worse.

The atmosphere does a lot of the work here. Dark, oppressive, occasionally beautiful in a grim way. Collecting scattered items keeps you moving forward, but the real pull is just staying alive long enough to understand what the forest actually is.
