Eight levels stand between Jeremy and whatever lies beyond the green flag. Jeremy Quest is a 2D platformer built around a deceptively straightforward premise — gather every red gem, survive the hazards, reach the exit — but the execution is where things get genuinely tense.

Monsters patrol predictable paths until you misjudge a jump. Fire traps and spikes are placed just generously enough to feel fair, then just cruelly enough to sting on a second attempt. The gem placement rarely lets you take the safest route through a stage; getting them all usually means going somewhere you'd rather not.

What keeps it engaging is the compact design. None of the levels overstay their welcome, but each introduces something that makes you rethink your approach. The difficulty climbs steadily without ever feeling arbitrary, and finishing a particularly awkward stage carries a quiet, genuine satisfaction.
