The familiar cast of Goombas, Koopas, and other iconic enemies returns, but they're no longer harmless obstacles to stomp over. Waves of them swarm relentlessly, and survival depends on constant movement and smart use of whatever weapons you can grab. The chaos accumulates quickly — what starts manageable spirals into something genuinely hectic.

Visually it leans into the contrast: recognizable sprites and settings twisted into a gore-soaked arcade context. That tension between nostalgia and carnage is exactly what makes it stick.
