Dropping a white ball through a field of shifting obstacles sounds straightforward — Unstable Squares makes sure it isn't. The squares drift left and right with no fixed pattern, and the window between them opens and closes faster than it seems at first glance.

The core interaction is a tap. Hold longer and the ball travels further; release quickly for a short nudge. That single mechanic carries a surprising amount of depth once the squares start overlapping and the gaps narrow. Misjudging the timing by even a fraction sends the ball straight into an obstacle, ending the run immediately.

Points accumulate with each successful crossing between the two endpoints, top to bottom and back again. The challenge isn't dramatic — it builds quietly, through small misjudgments and near misses, until concentration starts to slip. A good run comes down to rhythm more than reaction speed, finding a pace that works with the movement rather than against it.
